War is a major theme in many end of the world scenarios. Scenes such as atomic bombs destroying major cities, worldwide warfare
leading to the collapse of civilization, and endemic warfare leading to the breakdown of societies present stirring images
in film, art, music, and writing. The aim of our research is to analyze how and why this imagery has an impact on our culture,
and why we continue to obsess over the prospect of looming war.
